Job Description
About the Role:
Premier FMCG is a leading player in the manufacturing industry, known for our commitment to innovation, excellence, and integrity. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Payroll Manager to lead and manage our payroll team, ensuring the timely and accurate execution of payroll activities in line with business and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and Manage Payroll Operations: Ensure the standardisation and accuracy of payroll processes through the development and implementation of payroll processing procedures, controls, and guidelines.
System and Data Integrity: Regularly monitor and assess payroll systems and data to mitigate risks, including fraud, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure statutory and third-party reporting compliance by successfully submitting all statutory reconciliations and providing accurate data for monthly/annual finance and HR reporting.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, and collaborate effectively with payroll, finance, HR, and line management to maintain confidence in the transparency and confidentiality of payroll processes.
Team Leadership: Lead, coach, train, and manage the payroll team, driving performance in line with Premier's leadership commitment and organisational values.
Employee Satisfaction: Address employee queries and concerns regarding pay, deductions, and company contributions, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and understanding.
Project Support: Act as a project team member for payroll-related projects to ensure successful execution and continued business operations.

Qualification Requirements

Relevant Degree (Essential)
Certified Payroll Professional (SAPA) (Essential)

Experience Requirements

5-7 years of payroll management experience (Essential)
2-3 years of supervisory experience (Essential)
Intermediate knowledge of payroll-related policies, procedures, practices, and legislation
Proficiency in Excel, ERP payroll systems, and data analysis variance reporting (Essential)
Experience and knowledge of Eswatini, Lesotho and Mozambique Legislation and Tax requirements (Essential)

Key Outputs

Experience with SARS E-filing & E@syfile and ledger reconciliation (Desirable)
