Job Purpose: The purpose of this vacancy is to appoint a part-time lecturer to teach Computers in Education in the Department of Senior and FET Phase Wellington Campus (not exceeding 24 hours per month at a rate of R275 per hour).
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience: A relevant Master's or Honours degree in CAT (Preference will be given to candidates with a relevant Master's degree).CAT as a major at Bachelor's levelA relevant teaching qualificationAt least five (5) years' experience in teaching CAT at school level or two (2) years teaching the subject at tertiary levelKnowledge, understanding and experience in the preparation and evaluation of meaningful teaching experiences for Senior and FET Phase students.Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities: Teaching Computer Literacy in Education in the Senior and FET Phase from First to Fourth year levelLearning materials design and preparationAssessment, marking and uploading of student marksCoaching and mentoring studentsPerform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of DepartmentExcellent teaching skillsSound administrative and technical skillsMentoring and support for studentsKnowledge of education (and language) policies nationally (including CAPS)Ability to work in a teamComputer SkillsGeneral Information:
