Packline ManagerOur client is a leading grower, packer, and exporter of fresh fruit (citrus and table grapes) in South Africa. Their production units are situated across the Western Cape, with their head office in Bellville near Cape Town.The company has a vacancy for a Packline Manager at their citrus and table grape pack house about 10km north of Piketberg. The position will report to the Packhouse Manager and is available immediately.Responsibilities:Packaging planning and schedulingEnsuring optimal pack-out percentagesQuality control and food safetyTeam building, motivation, and managementTime and production managementRequirements:Grade 12, with a relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. B Agric / B Tech Process Engineering/ Food Technology or technical qualification)5 years' experience in a similar rolePlanning and organising skillsWilling to work irregular/night shifts and long hours (as required in the packing industry)The following will count in your favour:Background in fruit packing (citrus and/or table grapes)Background in a fruit pack houseProduction focus and technical aptitudePlease ENSURE that your application includes the following:A comprehensive Curriculum Vitae, inclusive of contact and email informationA covering letter motivating the applicationAn indication of current and expected remunerationAvailabilityIf you have not heard from us within 4 weeks of the closing date, please accept that your application was not successful.
