Select your country to see jobs specific to your location.National Business Development Manager - Western Cape, Western CapeOur client, a well-established and premium international FMCG, focused on personal care and cleaning products, seeks to expand business opportunities in South Africa/Africa and build a sales and customer service division.Please note this role is a remote working role, reporting to head office abroad, and is initially on a fixed term contract; acting as a development product agent, with the view to building a satellite division in SA and Sub-Saharan Africa, therefore extensive travel in SA and various African countries is essential.We do require a hands-on manager, who has experience in new business development within the formal and informal retail sector, with expansion into Africa being a long-term goal. You must have experience in import and export pricing strategies, as well as knowledge of INCO terms.KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:You will have a tertiary qualification in either Business or Sales/Marketing, coupled with 10+ years experience in the Personal Care Product or Consumer Packaged Goods business development, at a senior level, with knowledge of INCO terms.You will have experience in developing and implementing sales/pricing strategies for accelerating growth, developing business plans for various regions and markets (informal and formal), as well as creating/maintaining and expanding distributor relationships.You will have a hands-on approach and be experienced in building relationships, negotiating with retailer stakeholders, and be proficient in providing stock and ensuring merchandising efficiency in store.This role requires extensive travelling in SA and eventually across borders into Africa; therefore, you must be prepared to spend significant time away from home.A strong self-discipline, work ethic, drive, and results-driven/entrepreneurial traits are essential.You must have a valid driver's licence, own car, and a clear criminal and credit record.Desired Skills:INCO TermsNew Business DevelopmentHead of SalesPricing strategiesSales ManagementImport and Export
