Job Title: Motor Claims ConsultantDepartment: ClaimsLocation: Kloof, Durban, KZNEmployment Type: Full-TimeReports To: General Manager ClaimsRole OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Motor Claims Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and processing motor insurance claims efficiently, ensuring adherence to policy terms and company standards, and providing outstanding service.Key ResponsibilitiesClaims Management: Handle and process motor insurance claims from initiation through to resolution, ensuring compliance with policy terms and company procedures.Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, provide updates on claim status, and address any queries or concerns they may have.Documentation: Collect and review all relevant documentation, including accident reports, repair estimates, and other supporting materials required for claim assessment.Assessment: Evaluate claims to determine validity, coverage, and appropriate settlement amounts, working closely with insurers under our binder agreements.Coordination: Liaise with repairers, assessors, and other stakeholders to facilitate the claims process and expedite resolutions.Compliance: Ensure all claims are handled in accordance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and insurer mandates.Customer Service: Address inquiries and concerns promptly, resolving any issues to ensure a positive experience and client retention.QualificationsEducation: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.Certifications: Relevant underwriting or insurance certifications (e.g., NQF Level 4, RE5) are advantageous.Skills: Strong analytical and decision-making skills; Excellent communication and negotiation abilities; Deep understanding of short-term insurance products; High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing documents and data.Personal AttributesDetail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.Proactive: Ability to identify and address potential risks and issues before they arise.Customer-Focused: Strong commitment to providing high-quality service and building lasting relationships.Team Player: Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
