The main purpose of the role:Responsible for managing the branches, agents, suppliers, and clients for the region. Aligning and executing the strategic deliverables of the region aligned with the overall objectives of the organization. Managing all branches and agents within the region needs to be measured, and operated optimally, to ensure optimal delivery of our Service Catalogue to Clients.The General Manager is responsible for the completeness of revenue, financial performance, gross profit, delivery of the Service Catalogue as promised to clients, client retention, supporting growth, and new business for the region.Managing financial performance, operational excellence efficiencies, and compliance within the region.Desired Experience & QualificationMatricHonours / Masters in Engineering (Advantageous)Minimum 8 years or more relevant logistics & supply chain management experienceExperience in Supply Chain OptimizationIndustrial Engineering experience with 8 years in the logistics IndustrySIGMA experience with 5 years in the Logistics Industry.Leadership experience in Project or Operations role with 5 years of effective staff performance management & developmentWMS/ERP Systems Skills and experience with 2 years operational experience, and development experience will be advantageousTMS Systems Skills and 3 years' experienceRoute Optimizations with 5 years in route planning and OptimizationProject Management 5 years' ExperienceBCM 5 years' ExperienceApplication Engineering (TMS System)Supply Chain and Network Optimization and PlanningSupply Chain Management accreditation such as CSCP, SCOR-P, etc.Project Management accreditation such as Prince2 or PMPP&L Knowledge and ManagementAdvanced level of computer literacy in: Excel, Microsoft Access, SQL, Microsoft Visio and Project, SharePoint skill, ERP Systems, TMS (Transport Management System), PYTHON, Simulation Modelling and Power Apps
