Business Segment: Insurance & Asset ManagementLocation: ZA, GP, Roodepoort, Ellis Street 4To provide pro-active management and operational support enabling the implementation of the risk management strategy across the Short Term Insurance business unit of the Insurance and Asset Management (IAM) cluster.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsType of Qualification: First DegreeField of Study: Actuarial Science/ Risk Management/ Finance related/ BComExperience Required3-4 years Operational Risk Management. Practical knowledge and experience of applicable Short Term Insurance legislation which would include an understanding of the SAM regulatory environment, the Insurance Act and other applicable legislation to the insurance business.5-7 years Practical knowledge of risk, control frameworks, assurance & applications in the financial services industry. Fully conversant in risk appetite, risk responses & process improvement concepts. Understand of both regulatory and financial reporting risk principles.Additional InformationInterpersonal skills.Ability to interact with diverse stakeholders, for example, Executive management, Regulators, Line management and operational personnel at all levels.Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.Good communication Skills - written, verbal and presentation skills.Disciplined and have high level of integrity, professionalism and trustworthiness.Team player.Risk and governance experience.An understanding of the risk environment in which the different business units operate.Understand the legal implications and pitfalls of insurance legislation and policy wordings.
