We operate the various technology platforms and shared services, ensure Cyber and Information Security resilience, and act as technology governance and risk orchestrator for technology across Sanlam.
Responsible for managing and overseeing the people, processes and technologies delivering Sanlam's Identity Governance and Role Based Access Platforms & Services.
What will make you successful in this role?Accountable for implementing and operating Identity and Role Based Access Platforms & Services in accordance with the business's reliability and capacity requirements.Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, developers and architects to understand requirements and constraints.Active engagement with technology partners to deliver an integrated solution across platforms.Collaborate with Security Architecture as is applicable to IAM and Role Based Access platforms and services.Design and implement procedures and best practices in Identity Governance and Administration (IGA).Accountable for access attestation / recertification platforms & integration.Research and recommend policies and procedures to protect information assets from unauthorized or accidental modification, destruction or disclosure.Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technology, emerging threats, and best practices in IGA, RBAC and security.Responsible for appointing, developing, and retaining IGA and Role based Access talent.Ensure appropriate standards, patterns, best practices and operational maturity models are in place and monitored.Oversee IGA/RBAC Product Development Lifecycle. Continuously improve and refine processes, procedures and system development life cycle frequently to deliver business value to the business.Responsible for implementing and maturing Agile and DevOps tooling and practices for the RBAC/IGA environment.Prioritize efforts with cross-functional teams.QualificationsMatricA relevant tertiary qualificationAWS Certified Solutions Architect (preferred) or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert.Knowledge and ExperienceMinimum:
Experience with leading and managing a team.Experience with working in a hybrid- and multi-cloud environment (AWS preferred) and cloud technologies (AWS & Azure technologies preferred).Minimum of 7 years of experience in technology roles.Minimum of 5 years experience in solution architecture and systems design.Proven experience delivering and managing IGA, Access Management & authorization solutions (RBAC, PBAC, ABAC, IDP) , Identity Governance and/or Identity and Access Management technologies.Experience in working in an Agile environment.Experience in cloud security concepts.Understanding of Cloud technologies and best practices, Networking in Public and Hybrid Cloud environments, Network protocols, network architecture and security.Experience with operating and engineering solutions in a Cloud-focussed organization.Understanding of virtualization technologies, such as VMWare, Docker, and Kubernetes.Understanding of Security Architecture concepts including encryption, authentication, database security, Identity Providers, Enterprise single sign-on (SSO), Federated SSO, multi-factor authentication, API security.Knowledge of JSON templates, PowerShell, CLI's, Shell, Python.Proven programming and automation experience. (Python as a minimum, Any of C#, Java, GoLang or C++ in addition preferred)Enterprise experience in IGA on SailPoint IdentityNow, SailPoint Identity Security Cloud or NetIQ Identity Governance.Exposure to or understanding of Project Management Principles.Working in a DevOps environment (including proven CI/CD experience with technologies such as GitLab or Github, Nexus and others).Proven experience in delivering long-term, repeatable IaC solutions into an overall CI/CD process.Proven experience working with Azure DevOps Services.Proven experience in deploying and configuring Cloud Services using Terraform.SkillsStrong leadership and influencing skills.Analytical in nature.Ability to negotiate and positively influence others.Ability to effectively deal with conflict situations and complexity.High level of emotional intelligence.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent facilitation skills.Applying technologies.Conceptual thinker.Change management.Develop and implement strategy.Interpersonal skills, ability to engage with senior business stakeholders.Ability to accept accountability for actions and decisions.Interpersonal & Relationship management skills.Planning, organizing and coordination skills.Personal AttributesDecision quality - Contributing through others.
