A Maintenance Team Member will support the Engineering, Health and Safety Manager with general maintenance work, to maintain proper conditions of tools, equipment, and working areas throughout the hotel.
This role specializes in Plumbing work to focus on supporting the Plumbing systems within the property, but also serves as a Generalist handyman and all-rounder support within the Maintenance Department.

What will I be doing? As Maintenance Team Member, you will support the Maintenance Department to ensure an exceptional operational experience throughout the hotel.
Specifically, a Maintenance Team Member will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
Perform day-to-day general maintenance duties within the hotel rooms and public areasOrganise the 'work area' to execute assigned repair & maintenance tasks effectively & efficiently, to the required standard, and in line with our quality and service standardsPerform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, AC, landscaping, and painting in all areas of the hotelRespond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipmentEngage with guests while performing repair tasks or in public areas, greeting them with a smile and asking for feedback to enhance their experienceIn the area of expertise of Plumbing, ensure full functionality of equipment, infrastructure, or machinery at all times.
Perform all necessary repair, monitoring and maintenance tasks quickly.
Consult with the Engineering, Health & Safety Manager for complex issuesRecord and report completed repairs and items that require further attention to the Engineering, Health & Safety Manager.
Contribute ideas to reduce hotel operating costs and conserve energy and waterBe a reliable and motivated member of the Engineering, Health & Safety teamCommunicate clearly and constructively with other team members to help deliver great guest experiencesWilling to assist in other departments during busy periods as requiredSpend at least 30 minutes per day working alongside colleagues in Guest Operations as instructedProvide constructive suggestions/feedback to your Line Manager on products, processes and proceduresAttend planned team meetings and learning sessions as requiredBe open and willing to learn every dayVolunteer to participate in company campaigns like Travel with Purpose or Team Member committeesExecute any other duties as assigned by your Line Manager and the Hotel Leadership team What are we looking for?
