Maintenance Manager – Plettenberg Bay

Duties: Team Management Manage weekly work rosters, annual leave rosters and relief rosters Manage time and attendance Motivation, welfare and discipline of the team Training and mentoring staff members HR: Appointments and onboarding Performance assessments Resignations Ensure the correct handling of any IOD in the workplace Structure team to ensure optimal delivery to the business Maintenance Oversight of the department ensuring proactive maintenance management of: Land and buildings Tunnels Machinery and vehicles Equipment Generators Solar plant Job cards: Allocation of daily work schedules Follow-up with the team, providing support as necessary Inspections: Ensure regular inspections assets and areas mentioned above Follow-up on repairs required Breakdowns: ensure breakdowns are resolved timeously Stock management: Stock control: Workshop & Stores: Ensure that items are stocked and controlled Ordering materials to ensure timeous turnaround on repairs Cost control: Ensure that we are receiving the best value for service Planning: Ensure proactive maintenance schedules are maintained, parts ordered timeously, projects planned effectively etc Projects: Planning and management of projects as they arise Administration: Ensure that all machinery / equipment / vehicle checklists are completed and that files are kept up to date, basic computer work is required Requirements: Grade 12 Must have experience in a maintenance position Candidates with experience of farm machinery maintenance preferred Must have staff management experience Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) Must be bilingual Must have own transport Must have contactable references
