Job Overview:We are seeking for a Maintenance Lead to supervise, control, coordinate and oversee the overall work of maintenance staff engaged in renovation, refurbishing, repairs and maintenance of the resort's structures, buildings, and amenities. This position needs someone to ensure all Health and Safety is adhered to and work in unison with the security manager as part of the Health & Safety committee. We also need the person to supervise the environmental committee with the goal of obtaining the required SEMP scores.Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Planning and Management:Develop and implement maintenance schedules andOversee all repair and installation activities to ensure they are completed timely andConduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and resolveTeam Supervision:Manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, andAssign and prioritize tasks to team members, ensuring efficient use ofConduct performance evaluations and address any staffingBudget and Inventory Management:Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effectiveMaintain inventory of necessary tools, equipment, and supplies.Negotiate contracts with external vendors and service providersCompliance and Safety:Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with health and safetyImplement and monitor safety protocols to protect staff andStay updated on industry standards and regulations to maintainFacility Management:Oversee maintenance of all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, andManage landscaping, parking areas, and other external propertyAddress emergency maintenance issues promptly andRecord Keeping and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, equipment warranties, andPrepare regular reports on maintenance performance and issues to the GeneralMonitor and report on energy usage and implement measures to improve energyMust have:Matric Certificate3-5 years' relevant maintenance experience1-2 years' experience coordinating independent projects or task.5 years in building / trade environmentHand and power tools basics carpentry, electrical, plumbing and brick laying
