KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct Machine lock out during maintenance. Adhere to correct Procurement Processes and 3rd party management processes. Analyses all work to establish repetitive problems; conducts root causes of failures and establishes preventive measures. Involvement with performing periodical preventative maintenance planning, troubleshooting (fault finding) and resolve issues on assigned equipment. Knowledge and understanding of electrical wiring diagrams, mechanical and pneumatic drawings, ability to adjust parameters and settings. Conducts PJO's (Planned Job Observation) as planned to ensure employees work according to safe work procedures. Be able to inspect packaging components to relate to the machine setting and function capabilities. Ability to conduct continuous improvements. Enforce Nominal Value settings are in place and adhered to Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity. Reviews, maintains and implements Standard Maintenance procedures, Risk Assessments and management of change documents. All incidents are reported, investigated and both corrective and preventive measures implemented. Foster a collaborative work environment by leading in problem-solving within the team and across functional areas. Escalates issues to management and recommends solutions. Facilitates affectively and communicates to the maintenance team meeting and ensures clear direction is given, active participation and ownership of set maintenance goals and targets by shopfloor employee. Constantly promotes good housekeeping and enforces practice with the team. Assist with Commissioning and Safety Validation of equipment from time to time. Ensure compliance to safety rules and quality management systems as well as obey all health and safety rules as set by government. Working on weekends and public holidays, as well as overtime, will be required at times.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Technical Qualification: Minimum N6 Mechanical or Electrical and or National N Diploma: in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) will be advantageous. Millwright or Electrical Trade Test (RED SEAL). Minimum of 5 years work experience with detailed knowledge of plants and processes in a production and/or packaging environment is essential. Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and relevant ISO standards Knowledge of GMP - Good Manufacturing Practice
