Logistics Manager

Job Purpose: The overall purpose of this position is to manage local warehouse activities, including processing of imported goods and export of finished goods. The job holder is in charge of multiple sites or one of significant size. Ensure customer service deliverables are met in terms of delivery, reliability, quality, cost efficiency, and safety at work.Job Responsibilities:Promotes and fosters a safe work environment.Responsible for the SA Regional Distribution Center.Manages local warehouse or Third Party Logistics Provider to ensure service KPIs.Achieve corporate service and quality goals in the most efficient way.Analyzes warehouse analytics information, develops and executes plans to optimize warehouse costs based on historical and future needs/forecasting.Implements logistics management techniques, including import/export management, total cost management, and duty/tariff management.Develop lean strategy and monitor execution.Lead strategic projects.Plan non-inventory requirements.Effective stakeholder management.Communication and escalation between divisions, sales company, and RDC/EDC.Responsible for team department budgets.Responsibilities may include trade compliance and management of the trade compliance team.Ensures Logistics Team is compliant with industry regulations/requirements as applicable for regional requirements.Talent development & succession planning.Participate in the recruitment process to employ competent personnel.
