Supply Chain Coordinator

Job Purpose:
The SC Coordinator is responsible for analyzing, controlling, and optimizing transportation processes and related systems to enhance the efficient movement of goods. This role includes supporting procurement with inbound transportation, planning the CDC Yard schedule, and overseeing the outbound logistics of finished goods.

NB*:This role is crucial for ensuring that transportation operations run efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the supply chain.

Key Performance Areas:

Transport Analysis and Control (30%)
Analyze and optimize transportation processes to ensure cost-effective movement of goods. Responsibilities include planning vehicle offloading/loading, managing documentation accuracy, and maintaining vendor performance metrics.
System and Process Optimization (30%)
Continuously review and enhance transport and material handling processes to improve flow and reduce costs. Collaborate with internal teams to implement necessary changes and monitor compliance with transport non-compliance requests.
Customer Service Management (10%)
Maintain effective relationships with customers to resolve transport-related issues promptly and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
Compliance (10%)
Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations, develop safety protocols, and monitor departmental risks while maintaining compliance with internal and external audit findings.
Reporting (20%)
Provide ongoing reporting on transport performance and costs, collaborating with finance to ensure accurate billing processes and budget adherence.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualifications:Diploma in Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (NQF 7).
Experience:3-5 years in a Warehouse or Supply Chain environment, with a minimum of 3 years at a Senior Management level.

Technical Competencies:

Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, SAP).
Solid understanding of logistics and supply chain management processes.

Behavioural Competencies:

Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
