Your opportunity:
The Department of Biochemistry is a dynamic community of faculty and students, focusing on fundamental questions of living systems and the discovery of new therapeutics. As a Laboratory Technician, you will support Dr. Hyun Lee's lab in researching non-membranous organelles and their impact on cellular health.
Your responsibilities will include: Constructing proof of concept experimentsPreparing statistical reports from collected dataProviding explanations and demonstrations of lab techniquesApplying knowledge of lab maintenance and safety precautionsEssential Qualifications: Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.) in a relevant field or equivalent education and experienceMinimum one year relevant experience in a molecular biology or biochemistry labExperience with sterilization and lab maintenance proceduresExperience providing orientation on work proceduresDemonstrated experience interpreting experimental results and managing prioritiesExperience maintaining laboratory records and resultsExcellent time management and organizational skillsStrong communication skillsAbility to work under pressureExcellent manual dexterityTo be successful in this role you will be: Multi-taskerOrganizedPlease note that this is a term position until September 2025.
