Bloemfontein Campus Main purpose of the job To conduct appropriate research leading to publications and projects for postgraduate students and third-stream income.
Main tasks Lead and conduct research in the identified field.Develop and manage a research focus area in the Faculty.Supervision of post-graduate students.Contribute toward a vibrant research environment in the Faculty.Nature of appointment: 3-year fixed-term academic.
Minimum salary scale (Total Cost to Company): R 733 299 per annum.
Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience A relevant Master's-level degree (i.e. MTech / MSc / NQF 9 or equivalent).At least two years' research/teaching/lecturing/industry experience relevant to the research field(s).Involvement in at least one community-related research project.Registered with an appropriate accredited professional body where applicable.Desired Qualification, Knowledge And/Or Experience Additional qualifications in line with the specific field of research.Proven record of external funding applications, awards and management.Proof of a national and international network in the academic environment and related industry.Research project management experience.Job-Related Enquiries: Prof P.
