Let us be part of your solution.IntroductionTo manage, plan and implement an effective inhouse logistics operation in the SARS Bonded Warehouse. This involves coordinating the efficient movement, storage and distribution of goods to ensure that customers' needs are handled professionally, and handling customer queries seamlessly and in the most cost-effective manner. The role manages the inhouse operations within the framework of Fastway's policies and procedures, transport regulations and legislation, ensures the adherence to and achievement of targets and budgets, and manages compliance to service level agreements (SLA's).Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure that the Branch operations are performing against the agreed targets/budgets and managing all costs within the operation.Efficient management of operations to ensure that the operational process and procedures are always in place to meet the requirements of all clients, and to maximise the efficiency of the depot operations.Oversee the inventory of all operational related equipment.Direct, manage and coordinate the Depot, transportation, and customer services activities.Effective load planning.Maintain health and safety standards within the Depot.Coordinate and execute load instructions.Effective dispatch planning as per customer requirements.Identify and report problem areas.Manage clocking times and overtime daily, to ensure clocking accuracy and eliminate excess overtime.Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.Minimum RequirementsMatric (Degree / Diploma in Logistics or related field would be beneficial).3 - 5 years' relevant experience as Operations Manager or related title in the franchise industry with proven track record displaying good business acumen.Reporting and effective communication.Excellent leadership, collaborative, and strong problem-solving skills.Computer literate and excel proficiency essential.Ability to work under pressure.Knowledge of Fastway systems and Programs would be an added advantage.Able to think outside the box.Good team player with excellent management skills.Sense of urgency and adherence to deadlines.Solution Driven.Creative and Dynamic.A positive attitude with a passion for people is essential.Must be service oriented always.Must have a CAN-DO attitude.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.Valid Code 08 driver's license / own reliable vehicle.
