The IT Apprentice – Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) role will support the IT Security and Compliance department in the maintenance and operation of the company's Information Security Management System.
The role involves assisting and suggesting improvements in business processes to allow conformance to the many controls that are in place to protect the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of information. The apprentice will gain hands-on experience and knowledge in a professional IT setting, contributing to their development and understanding of the field.
What will I learn?
Support continual improvement of the Information Security Management System
Help develop and update policies, procedures, and controls for various management systems.
Contribute to compliance monitoring and reporting activities.
Participate in internal and external audits.
Assist in business continuity planning and disaster recovery exercises.
Support data management and privacy initiatives
Assist in developing understanding of the requirements of management systems.
Collaborate with team members on IT projects and initiatives.
Engage in learning and development opportunities to enhance IT skills and knowledge.
You will be expected to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties
Understand Castle Water's Risk Management Framework and assist with Castle Water's management of risk
What qualifications or qualiies are required?
Eager to develop soft skills to enhance career prospects including communication and influencing skills
Basic understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
Eagerness to learn and a keen interest in IT and technology trends.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under supervision.
