The role also supports the Senior Finance Manager in executing various financial accounting aspects of the CFM Group entities which are multi-currency and domiciled in multiple countries. The Junior Finance Manager will be based in CFM's Africa office location in Claremont, Cape Town, South Africa. The role reports to the Senior Finance Manager and may require periodic travel within CFM's regional offices.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe role will chiefly:Manage Accounts Payable and AccrualsVerify invoices.Review expense claims, credit card reconciliations and creditors reconciliationsCode and allocate invoices per chart of account and capture entries in the accounting system (Microsoft Dynamics) for review.Capture payments made and reconciled creditors age analysis, ensuring creditors paid per payment terms.Maintain creditors database.Assist in preparing expense reports for monthly reporting.Maintain records of creditors invoices and other supporting information for audit and tax purposes.Manage Sundry DebtorsPrepare sundry debtor recovery invoices for review.Banking & TreasuryPrepare bank payments, including international payments.Reconcile bank accounts (USD, EUR, ZAR, SGD, COP).Journal EntriesPrepare and post entries for Bank, Debtors, Creditors, and general journals.Maintain records for audit and tax purposes.Operations support and reportingAssist with the internal and external audit.Assist with business planning and forecasting.VAT/Corporate Tax/Withholding taxAssist with preparation of VAT returns.Maintain fixed asset registers and IFRS16 lease calculations.AuditPrepare monthly management accounts and annual audit pack for the Namibian (Climate Investor 3) group including Dutch holding company.Ensure supporting documentation readily available for audit.Prepare reporting packs, annual integrated report and annual financial statements in terms of IFRS.Assist with Namibian (Climate Investor 3) group audit.Assist CFM team with special ad-hoc reporting requirements and requests.Qualifications, Experience & SkillsetQualified CA (SA)Minimum 3-4 years' post-article experience in the financial services sectorKnowledge of complex accounting standardsKnowledge of accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics) and financial reporting skillsProficient in MS Office SuiteFinancial services / Fund Manager experience advantageousCentral business experience would be advantageousExperience in multicurrency environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced performance driven environmentCompetenciesDevotion to qualityResults orientedStructuringAdaptabilityFlexibilityAnalysing and forming opinionsSituational awareness
