Key Responsibilities:
Management accounts: Prepare and review the monthly performance and audit all balance sheet accounts
Treasury: Ensure correct liquidity, and investment opportunities to maximize earnings from cash reserves
Budget Preparation and Oversight: Lead the preparation of the annual budget, including forecasting and planning for financial needs and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, manage risk assessments, and implement controls to mitigate financial risks.
Audit Management: Coordinate and manage both internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided and audit findings are addressed promptly.
Cost Management: Analyze the companys financial performance against budget and goals, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Financial Strategy Development: Develop financial strategies to support long-term business objectives, including capital investment planning and financial restructuring.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with investors, banks, and other financial stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and building strong financial relationships.
Tax Planning and Management: Oversee tax planning and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, ensuring tax liabilities are minimized.
Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and develop finance staff, providing professional development opportunities and ensuring the team has the skills needed to meet current and future business challenges.
Financial System Optimization: Evaluate and implement financial systems and tools that improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and management.
Revenue and Profitability Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of revenue streams and profitability, providing insights to support strategic decision-
Contract Review and Negotiation: Review and negotiate financial aspects of contracts with suppliers, customers, and partners, ensuring favorable terms for the company.

Qualifications and Experience:
An undergraduate qualification in Financial Accounting Financial Management as recognised by SAQA.
At least 5 years working experience as FM
At least 3 years experience within the travel industry or similar environment.
At least 3 years experience managing staff.
Working knowledge of Quick Trav (ticketing accounting software)
Good working knowledge of Word, Excel
Knowledge of the Travel Industry an advantage
