Job purpose: To oversee and execute financial and administrative processes in the Company and assist in meeting the department and business objectives.
Suitable candidates will need to have the following minimum qualifications and relevant experience: Qualifications and Experience BCom Degree is required Minimum 3 years' proven experience in accounting Pastel accounting experience Packhouse experience will be an advantage Key Accountability Areas Accurate and timely processing of transactions on Pastel (Financial leases, Loans and other) Weekly cashflow management and payments preparation Ensure that correct procedures are followed for statutory reporting, completion of documents, submission and timeous payments, i.e., VAT, EMP201 Calculate and evaluate monthly bill of material and monitor stock control procedures Monthly invoicing to producers, reconciliation, and Accounts Receivable management Bi-Weekly Pay-out of advances, final, local and Woolworth's payments received on behalf of producers Compile and trace data throughout a packhouse system Build reports and/or data extracts to support business analysis Ensure packhouse data reconcile to trial balance (producer accounts / inventory / wholesale) Forecast and analyse producer income Oversee Account Payable, ensure correct allocation and manage finance clerk Monthly budget vs actual reporting Participate in the preparation of annual budgets Assist with preparation of financial statements and annual external audit Skills and Competencies Effective handling of detailed information and consistent attention to detail Excellent Analytical Skills Must be able to perform calculations and prepare detailed reports Must be able to work with little supervision and track multiple processes The application deadline is 21 October 2024.
