It Systems Manager: Africa / Middle East

Main Purpose:  To manage the IT functions on a day-to-day operational basis.
Lead and manage the IT department, providing guidance and technical support to team members.
Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all Cargo Wise-related issues and enhancements.
Manage the implementation, support, and optimization of Cargo Wise systems.
Ensure best practices and compliance with industry standards for Cargo Wise usage Oversee the maintenance and optimization of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems Ensure high availability and reliability of IT services and systems.
Manage the application support team, ensuring timely resolution of issues and user support.
Put usage controls in place to avoid systems and cost abuse Coordinate with stakeholders to identify and implement application improvements.
Plan and execute system integration projects to ensure seamless interoperability between different software applications, hardware systems, and IT infrastructures.
Create and implement strategies, architectures, and platforms to facilitate efficient and secure data exchange and workflow across systems.
Work with cross-functional teams, including IT, software development vendor, and business units, to gather integration requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
Facilitate training sessions and create documentation for IT staff and end-users to ensure they understand the integration processes and can troubleshoot common issues.
Provide associated documentation, according to internal process Report Incident and System Information to Senior Management Annual Budgeting for the I.T.
Department Monthly Reporting on I.T.
Costs as defined by Senior Management Assess current IT systems and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement.
Plan and execute IT projects to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure adherence to IT security policies and data protection regulations Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to safeguard company data Requirements:  Matric Certificate (non-negotiable) Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field (non-negotiable) Certified Cargo Wise Professional (mandatory) AWS certifications (advantageous) Network certifications (advantageous) Proven experience of Managing an I.T.
