Intermediate Phase : Grade 4 English Teacher

Job Overview: Our client seeks to employ an experienced and dedicated individual to join our Grade 4 team in the Intermediate Phase.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the Head of Grade, Departmental Head, and Principal, be able to work independently and requires minimal supervision.
Requirements Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Development: Design lesson plans that align with educational standards and cater to the diverse learning styles of learners.
This involves creating engaging activities and selecting appropriate reading materials.
Instructional Delivery: Teach fundamental language skills such as reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
Use various instructional methods, including interactive discussions, storytelling, and group work, to maintain learners interest and facilitate learning.
Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate learners progress and understanding.
Provide timely feedback to learners and use assessment data to adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and organised classroom environment that encourages respectful interactions and active participation.
Establish clear rules and expectations to promote a safe learning atmosphere.
Individualised Support: Identify students who may require extra help or advanced challenges and implement strategies to meet their individual needs.
This might involve personalised instruction, additional resources, or collaboration with other educators.
Communication: Maintain open and regular communication with parents and guardians regarding learners progress, challenges, and achievements.
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional growth through workshops, seminars, and collaboration with colleagues.
Stay informed about new teaching methods and advancements in education.
Resource Management: Utilise available resources effectively, including educational technology and classroom materials, to enhance the learning experience.
Cultural Sensitivity: Promote inclusivity by recognising and respecting the diverse backgrounds and experiences of all learners.
Integrate multicultural content into lessons to broaden learners perspectives.
Qualifications and Skills: - Holds a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in Foundation Phase.
- SACE registered.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with team members.
- Computer literate and excellent time management skills.
