Introducing the Skynamo Project Office. Skynamo has grown significantly in recent years and most of the company orientates their thinking and activity outward, to meet our customers' needs.
However, this puts pressure on internal processes, structures, and technologies which must evolve to keep up with the growing demand. Rather than asking customer-centric teams to do this, Skynamo has created a Project Office to dedicate itself to improving and strengthening our internal tools and processes.
The Project Office pays attention to significant internal challenges such as internal data integration, data management, and information sharing. Additional functions include comprehensive data analytics, data models, and reporting using tools such as SalesForce, PowerBI and of course, Excel. We work closely with other departments within the business such as Finance, Sales, IT and R&D if needed. The Project Office forms part of Skynamo's Operations structure and reports to the COO.
Who are we looking for: We are looking for a young and dynamic industrial engineer to join our team. This person must have a strong sense of self-direction and enjoy coming up with innovative solutions to complex problems. They will have the opportunity to grow and apply their theoretical knowledge across a broad spectrum of business operations. Attention to detail as well as the ability to work in a team and take ownership are crucial.
What you can expect to do: Take on projects from conception to implementation, ensuring they align with the company's evolving goals and objectives Acquire a deep understanding of the organization's business systems and leverage this knowledge to architect workflows and enhance operational efficiency Leveraging new technologies to help build effective business solutions to be used by cross-functional teams throughout Skynamo Implement and maintain internal software platforms, processes, and systems to improve business efficiencies Work on operational requests and resolve them in an efficient and clear manner What else you need: MS/ BS degree in Industrial Engineering or similar Quick learner with strong problem-solving abilities Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills Time management and organizational skills Desire to build up confidence in working with complex data and systems Exposure to software development beneficial Ability to work with a cross-functional team Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate effectively across the business High attention to detail Calm under pressure and not fazed by change Drive, grit, and a get-it-done attitude What you can expect from Skynamo Being part of a team that has a measurable and direct impact on Skynamo's success globally A challenging and fun working environment that prioritizes learning and development as well as action A social in-office culture that includes free daily office lunches, weekly cross-fit, and a barista, and pizza on Fridays More about Skynamo Founded in 2012 in South Africa and with offices across SA as well as in the UK, we are approaching 1000 customers large and small across a wide range of industries including Food & Beverage, Building Materials & Hardware, Chemicals & Paints, and Automotive goods.
