We are inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for appointment as HR Officer. The ideal candidate will create and maintain a productive, compliant, and positive work environment that allows both employees and the organization to thrive. They act as bridge between management and employees, ensuring that the company's human capital is effectively managed and developed.
Required Qualifications & Experience (Mandatory)
National Senior Certificate
Human Resources Diploma / Degree
HR payroll system experience
Proficient in MS Office
Valid driver's license and own reliable transport (not negotiable)
Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in Human Resources
Sound understanding of regulations and compliance administration (BCEA, LRA, EE, etc.)
Good understanding of HR functions and best practices
Proactive self-starter with a high level of initiative and accountability
Industrial relations experience (Disciplinary Hearings & CCMA Matters)

Key Responsibilities
Personnel administration: Maintain and manage the personnel records of employees both electronically and in hard copy.
Recruitment: Work hand in hand with the HR Manager on the recruitment and selection process. (Advertising, CV Screening, Shortlisting, Vetting, Preparation of Interview Packs)
Training & Development: Maintain training & development records & facilitate new trainings identified (Certificates, Expiry Dates, Training Register, Quotations, etc.)
Industrial Relations: Work hand in hand with the HR Manager to attend to and manage disciplinary hearings, CCMA matters, Grievances etc. (Written Warnings, Preparation of evidence bundles, chairing hearings, represent the company at the CCMA, etc.)
Performance Management: Work hand in hand with the HR Manager to facilitate probation reviews, performance reviews & performance improvement plans.
HR Policies & Procedures: Update of Policies and Procedures in line with changed legisltion, under the supervision of the HR Manager.
Payroll: Upkeep of all timesheets, leave processing, unpaid hours, leave abuse etc.
Employee Terminations: Preparation of UI-a9 and Salary Schedules where relevant.
Tracking of employee birthdays and attend to birthday wishes.
Tracking and management of long service awards (Ordering of the necessary certificates, distribution of certificates, notification to the HR Manager for long service award payment in the relevant pay run).
Ordering and managing of company corporate wear (Orders, quotations, PO arrangement, embroidery, collection, delivery, update of company corporate wear register).
HR Compliance Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with HR Policies, Procedures and Legal Regulations at all times.
All other relevant, reasonable HR assistance, as required by the HR Manager from time to time.
