Job DescriptionTo provide a Human Resource service to the divisions of the company, including payroll, IR, and administrative HR related services. Your job title conveys a general indication of your position. It is not intended to be restrictive and you may at times be required to undertake duties beyond the confines of your usual job. You are responsible for ensuring a risk and hazard-free work environment by reporting and recording any safety, health, and environmental incidents occurring on site.
QualificationsMatricQualification in Human ResourcesQualification in Sage VIP Premier3 years in Human ResourceSound knowledge of LRA, BCEA, SDL, EE, and CCMAKnowledge of MEIBC & Steel Councils and other Bargaining CouncilsCompetencies (Key Behaviour Areas)Analysis and problem solvingPeople DevelopmentAttention to detailPlanning and organisingCommercial orientationPresentation skillsCustomer Service OrientationProfessional/Technical skillsInnovationResilienceInterpersonal SensitivityRule orientationInvestigative OrientationStrategic AnalysisMechanical reasoningTeamworkOral CommunicationWritten CommunicationConflict ManagementConfidentialityMotivational SkillsCompassion and EmpathyBusiness AcumenBusiness Environmental AwarenessPolicy and procedural knowledgeNumbers, AnalyticalResponsibilitiesPopulate a control sheet for all changes concerning HR, IR, payroll.Collect accurate time and attendance with supporting documentation.Process an accurate payroll and check accuracy before submission to Shared Services.Ensure that payroll has the necessary supporting documentation and proof.Perform administrative functions including third-party reconciliations and payments.Coordinate and support disciplinary hearings and handle grievances appropriately.Provide HR Services for manpower temporary and permanent positions.Conduct exit processes and ensure all items on the exit form are actioned.Arrange medicals in accordance with policy.Complete WCA claim form and follow up on claims submitted by the hospital.Specific Role RequirementsAd hoc nationwide travel may be required. Enter manufacturing environment (factory floor) with possible hazardous areas.
