We are committed to providing platforms to enable our people to engage in the business, deliver value to clients and develop their careers.When you join SMEC, you join a flexible growing organisation that has a genuine commitment to CSR, diversity and improving the world we live in.The RoleSMEC is currently seeking a Principal Advisor - Talent Acquisition for our Africa regions - a vibrant, strategically important market experiencing rapid growth and expansion reflective of the opportunities and business potential across Infrastructure & Energy, Buildings & Cities and Integrated Solutions business lines.The Principal Advisor – Talent Acquisition is responsible for partnering with the African organization to provide recruitment & talent strategy and related operations, managing the day-to-day delivery of all recruitment and talent activities including organizational resourcing needs analysis, recruitment market trends analysis, talent mapping, candidate selection, vendor management and analysis of recruitment metrics. Our key markets to recruit for include South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Namibia and Ghana.This role is accountable for managing the day-to-day delivery of all recruitment activities including stakeholder management, candidate sourcing, interviews, reference checking, employment offers and other general recruitment services.As an ideal candidate, you will have:10+ years in the industry, ideally in a specialist Recruitment role (external or internal) within the professional services industryAbility to establish and maintain internal stakeholder relationships with a proven ability to develop and maintain trustDemonstrates a high level of skill in proactively searching and sourcing candidates using a combination of channels as per SMEC's sourcing frameworkHigh level communication skills, including navigating and resolving complex commercial, technical and people mattersProvided expert advice and demonstrate advanced skills in proactively managing the recruitment and selection activities of multiple roles within the assigned markets/projectsActively builds and maintains effective relationships internally and externally that contributes to strengthening the company and market brandIn-depth knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and market trendsHow to applyAll applications must be submitted online.
