My client is seeking an experienced HR and Payroll Generalist to join their team, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of their HR functions. This role demands a versatile individual who can manage employee relations, oversee benefit programs, and ensure compliance with all legislative requirements.This role is based in Bryanston, Johannesburg North.Key Responsibilities:Compliance and Legislation: Ensure adherence to the BCEA, LRA, and other relevant legislation. Guide management in implementing best HR and Industrial Relations (IR) practices.Employee Welfare: Promote a positive work environment by managing employee relations and addressing conflicts promptly and effectively.Benefits and Policies: Administer and manage employee benefits, including retirement funds, and ensure policies are up-to-date and communicated effectively.HR Strategy and Projects: Support and drive HR initiatives aligned with our strategic goals. Participate in operational meetings and lead HR projects to enhance service delivery.Data Management: Conduct monthly audits on HRIS data to maintain accuracy and compliance. Prepare necessary HR reports for management.Recruitment and Onboarding: Oversee the full recruitment process, including external checks, onboarding, and offboarding of employees.BBBEE and Skills Development: Manage the BBBEE process, collaborate with 3rd party vendors, and ensure timely preparation of the Work Skills Plan (WSP) and Employment Equity submissions.Payroll Administration: Handle the complete monthly payroll function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external standards.Performance Management: Assist in the performance management process, including employee training, coaching, and development.Qualifications and Experience needed:HR Diploma/Degree5 years proven experience in HR and PayrollCapable of leading projects and effectively interacting with management at all levelsKnowledge of Change Management principlesSelf-motivated with excellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesAttention to detail and a methodical approach to work
