GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the HR Manager, this position is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
HR Administrative Support:

Performs HRIS data entry and digital personnel file maintenance. Completes HR Admin duties with a high degree of accuracy and within the HR deadlines.
Creates new employee packets and assists with new-employee orientations. This includes delivery of orientation and benefit enrollment.
Assists in the evaluation and development of HR Admin work processes and practices.
Maintains the HR supply area, including ensuring materials and supplies are available. Submits orders for HR supplies.
Addresses Employee Relation Issues on a basic level. Prepares documentation for the HRM.
Assists employees and Supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions. Files documents into appropriate employee files. Prepares new-employee files. Responsible for digitalization of all employee files.
Assists with processing of terminations.
Processes mail.
Performs customer service functions by answering employee and Supervisor requests and questions.
Covers various duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and accurately. The ideal individual needs to be very dependable and have a minimum of three (3+) years' experience in providing administrative support in a human resources department in a medium-sized or larger organization. An individual should have administrative experience in the human resources functions (HR Administrative, HR filing, employee relations, people skills, benefits, payroll, and HRIS related systems). Must have basic knowledge of HR compliance with the FLSA, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, EEOC, ADAA, workers compensation, and other federal and state employment laws. Education and/or Experience:
Associate's degree (A.A.) from a 2-year college and 2 years Human Resources experience and/or training with emphasis on HRIS data management and organizational development.
