A medium sized South African Hotel Group is looking to employ a Hotel General Manager to effectively manage and oversee the effective running of a hotel in Sandton from budgets to staffing. The ideal candidate will need to meet the following basic criteria:REQUIREMENTS:Minimum of a Hospitality Management Diploma.10 Years experience of running a 4* or 5* city corporate hotel with over 200 rooms, minimum of 2 restaurants, 2 Bars and banqueting for 200 along with a gym and spa.Sound experience in front office and food and beverage within a 4 or 5* hotel, excellent knowledge and understanding of the South African hospitality market with emphasis on revenue management and marketing strategies to elevate this property.Strong leadership skills, be willing to lead from the front to get standards up and improve profitability.Must be fit and healthy as to be able to walk the property daily to ensure that all teams are working to their maximum.Own vehicle is essential.Knowledge of Infor and Nebula Point of sale would be a distinct advantage.Must be able to work in a team, have a solid service history with a minimum of 2 years in each previous position.Needs to have a thorough understanding of the SA Labour market.Be proactive and a good planner.DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE THE SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE IN 4/5* HOTELS AS LISTED ABOVE.
