Head Water Resource Management

Responsibilities:Lead the development of the strategic plan and ensure translation of this into the divisional annual operational planLead development of divisional business plans in line with company strategy and objectivesDevelop and manage the budget for divisionMonitor and evaluate the implementation of approved operations policies and proceduresDrive developmental growth of the divisions employees while focusing on critical skills required to propel the organisation forwardDrive the strategic objectives of water resource managementAlign water resource management initiatives such that the results translate to the desire of the shareholders service level agreementLead the expansion of water resource management footprint with the aim of integrating and consolidating efforts of water conservation and ecological infrastructureLead pollution control initiatives that will contribute to low water treatment costs to the shareholder and increased lifespan of ecological infrastructureLead rehabilitation projects by securing funding from external partners and government to re-establish indigenous vegetation and removal of invasive alien plantsDrive commercialization strategy as approved by BoardOverseeing the environment protection strategies implied by the companyManage the development and implementation of environmental management systemsEnsure compliance with environmental legislation and to ensure corporate sustainable developmentRequirements:Bachelors Degree in Natural Sciences or equivalentPostgraduate Degree in Natural Sciences will be an added advantage3-5 years executive level with experience in Natural Resources ManagementGood knowledge of water resource management, water infrastructure and project management principles and practicesAdvance strategic understanding, interpretation and monitoringUnderstanding and application of natural resources management and related legislationStrong leadership and developmental traits for subordinatesAbility to apply successful fundraising and networking techniquesUnderstanding of stakeholder management / methods / techniquesKnowledge of the supply value chains applicable to industry, and ability to deal with suppliersApplied knowledge of safety and security policies and proceduresAccount management principle and practices, including budgeting, target setting and forecastsQuality process and methods, and their application to operational environmentsValid drivers licence
