Entersekt has invested in, and created, a diverse product portfolio that positions the company well to execute on its expansion in North America and European markets.THE ROLEWe are looking for a Group Financial Manager that will analyse every day financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to management on future financial plans. In this role you will also manage a small team of accountants and report to the Financial Director.As Group Financial Manager you will be instrumental in enabling the company's leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company's objectives through implementing the financial strategy, ensuring compliance and providing strategic guidance to senior management.RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare and present consolidated management accounts, including group profit and loss, balance sheets and cash flow statements.Management of the accounting function, including overseeing monthly reporting, consolidation, debtors, creditors, journal entries, payroll, functional budget and tax.Develop and maintain financial policies, processes and procedures to ensure best practices and regulatory compliance across the group.Critically analyse financial results and provide insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision making.Manage risk and ensure financial stability, such as insurance management.Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial information, transactions, reporting and documentation.Management of group tax, including the preparation of tax returns.Driving process optimization in accounting and internal controls, including assessment and implementation of an ERP system.Optimization of monthly reporting, including the accounting system integration of a recent acquisition.Compilation of Annual Financial Statements and serve as the key point of contact for the financial auditors.Management of the accounting team, including performance- and salary reviews and providing coaching and development feedback to those reporting to you.SKILLS & EXPERIENCESuccessful candidates for the Group Financial Manager role will generally possess the following qualifications:BCom/BAcc Degree or Equivalent, CA(SA) or SAIPA or other relevant professional certification preferable.Strong finance-based analytical skills.7+ years of accounting experience.Demonstrated ability to lead a small team.Technically astute on accounting, tax and regulatory developments.Advanced proficiency in financial software and Excel/Google Sheets, Netsuite experience preferable.Proven track record of process optimization.Software/tech industry/SaaS experience preferable.Experience implementing new accounting systems is an advantage.ATTRIBUTESHigh energy, dynamic and driven with the ability to work in a high growth environment.A self-starter who shows initiative and can work independently to solve problems.High attention to detail.Results focused individual.Ability to take on a lot of responsibility and complexity.Excellent communication and leadership skills.We place a lot of value on how we treat prospective employees and appreciate the time and effort that goes into job hunting.
