Job Overview: As the General Manager of Choice Clothing, you will have full responsibility for overseeing all business functions. This includes buying, planning, sourcing, store operations, financial planning, supply chain, and HR functions etc. You will lead the Choice Clothing senior management team and work closely with various departments to optimize processes, increase profitability, and implement strategies for business growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Buying & Merchandising Strategy: Lead the development and execution of the buying and product assortment strategy. Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate terms to ensure the best product mix and competitive pricing. Analyze sales trends, customer preferences, and market dynamics to guide the buying process and product offering. Financial Planning & Budgeting: Oversee the company's financial performance, ensuring the achievement of revenue targets and profitability goals. Develop and manage the annual budget, sales forecasts, and P&L, ensuring financial health and growth. Drive cost-effective business strategies, from inventory management to operational expenditures, ensuring sustainability and profit margins. Supply Chain & Operations: Manage the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring inventory is managed effectively and efficiently across all stores. Improve supply chain processes to reduce lead times, maintain optimal stock levels, and control costs. Oversee store operations, ensuring high standards in customer service, store presentation, and operational compliance. Business Growth & Strategic Development: Develop long-term growth strategies and business plans, focusing on scaling operations, increasing market share, and expanding brand presence. Analyze competitor activity and market changes, adapting strategies to maintain a competitive edge. Leadership & Team Development: Lead and inspire a high-performing senior management team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Oversee recruitment, training, and development initiatives to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce. Requirements JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS: Proven experience as a senior leader in the retail industry, ideally as a Head of Retail or similar executive role. Strong expertise in buying, merchandising, financial planning, supply chain, retail operations etc. Strong trader mentality. Experience with P&L management, budgeting, and financial performance analysis. In-depth knowledge of retail supply chain management, inventory systems, and logistics. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to drive performance and foster a positive organizational culture. Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and identify new growth opportunities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
