Job Advertisement: Fleet Manager
Are you a skilled and experienced professional in fleet management? Do you have a passion for optimizing operations, maximizing efficiency, and ensuring the smooth functioning of a diverse fleet? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Fleet Manager.
Position Overview:
As a Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of our fleet, from acquisition to disposal. Your primary objective will be to ensure the optimal utilization and maintenance of our vehicles while adhering to safety protocols and industry regulations. You will play a crucial role in implementing strategies to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and improve overall fleet performance.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive fleet management strategies, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and disposal plans.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fleet, ensuring vehicles are available, reliable, and in compliance with safety standards.
Coordinate vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize utilization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including drivers, mechanics, and administrators, to optimize fleet performance and resolve operational issues.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate fleet performance and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including vehicle registration, licensing, and insurance.
Manage relationships with external vendors, negotiate contracts, and evaluate service quality and cost-effectiveness.
Implement fuel management programs, monitor fuel consumption, and identify opportunities for fuel efficiency improvements.
Develop and deliver training programs to promote safe driving practices, efficient vehicle utilization, and regulatory compliance.
Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in fleet management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., logistics, supply chain management) or equivalent work experience.
Proven track record in fleet management, preferably with 6 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of fleet management principles, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in using fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and other relevant tools.
Effective communication and leadership abilities to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Valid code 10 license with a clean driving record.
