Key Responsibilities:Income statement and Balance sheet accounts reconciled and checkedSupport Accounting team to TB level, accounts staff and HR departmentBudget preparation & presentationSales reportsFixed assets and asset registerReview and sign-off payrollCost of sales and stock (restaurants)Ensure cost of sales within acceptable percentagesInvestigate COS % variances & stock variancesCash flow & Cash managementInsuranceEnsure that the financial records are processed accurately and timeously.Prepares detailed reports on financial packs (monthly and annually).Ensure statutory compliance to SARS etc.Participate in the provision of strategic financial planning and information.Investigate stock and cost of sales variances.Research, consolidate, submit annual budget.Establish and maintain financial control functions to ensure conformance to legislation, policies and procedures and accounting principles.Manage accounting and financial systems.Conduct financial analysis and prepares financial reports and statements.Provides financial and accounting advice, direction and leadership.Ensure that the audit requirements are met.Respond to auditors' comments concerning finances and operations and oversees required action to address deficiencies.Implement and monitor payment authority practices.Maintain cash controls.Monitor all department spending and recommends corrective actions as necessary.Manage staff.Compile lists of the assets to be insured and the values thereof.Manage the maintenance and upgrade of financial, and hospitality information systems.Translation of the business goals into measurable objectivesMonitoring the goals and objectivesWork with the relevant HOD's to achieve the goalsScenario/strategic Planning for HospitalityQualifications and Experience:BCom Honours Degree in Financial ManagementCA, CIMA, ArticlesAt least 5 years experience as a Financial Manager in the Hospitality industryMust have own transport and reside in Southern Suburbs Cape Town
