Financial Manager (Cape Town)

Requirements:CA (SA) / SAIPA / CIMA Accounting and Enterprise Systems, Taxation legislation, etcMini 7-10 years relevant experienceFMCG Advanced Excel and ERP systems (Syspro)Duties include:The production of periodic financial reports, the maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. Enhance the accuracy of the companys reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.Assist in overseeing the operations of the accounting department, including the design of a supporting structure adequate for recording and processing day-to-day transactions to achieve the departments goals and objectivesProvide leadership and mentoring to all staff in the finance department ensuring they are adequately skilled and trained to achieve success in their respective rolesManage and ensure that all production processes and procedures are followed to ensure that the production goals are metDevelop and drive continuous improvementAssist in the management of various financial accounting functions, including inventory, debtors, creditors, VAT, fixed assets, general ledger, company taxation, cash flow, forex and insuranceReview and submission of weekly and monthly results to holding companyReview and submission of monthly management accounts to holding companyPreparation on quarterly board packsBudgeting and forecastingMonitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trendsFacilitating the half-year and year-end audit process (June and December)Liaison with external and internal auditorsGovernance and Compliance including improving internal controlsPerformance management of Finance staff, including setting of KPIsManage finance related systems and internal controlsAssist with the management of Net working capital and forex exposureProvisional and income tax computationEnsure tax and legal ComplianceAssist with ad hoc projects
