TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Financial Business Partner within the Timber Division at Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Business Partner to oversee all financial aspects related to our Timber operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting for our Timber division. This is a critical role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities And Duties
LeadershipEffective leadership and mentoring involves creating an environment where team members feel valued, supported and motivated to achieve their best, with leaders actively engaging in their team's development, providing constructive feedback and serving as role model to foster a culture of continuous improvement and growthStrategic PlanningAnalyse opportunities and acquisitions from a financial perspective together with the Group Finance teamGive relevant inputs to EXCO and Senior Management for sound decision makingTake full control and responsibility of financial analyses, impact on results, financial systems and controlsInformation TechnologyEnsure the maintenance of an effective IT environment for the division to facilitate accurate and timely provision of informationFinancial Planning and BudgetingAssist with the development and overseeing of financial plans and budgets for the Timber divisionCollaborate with key stakeholders to establish financial targets and performance metrics aligned with organisational goalsPrepare annual budgets and projections together with quarterly forecasts for the Timber divisionMonitor and analyse financial performance against budget and provide recommendations for improvementEnsure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements related to the Timber divisionPrepare financial reports and presentations for senior managementMentor and develop admin personnel within the Timber divisionCost Analysis and ControlConduct cost analysis to identify key cost drivers and optimise operational expenses across the divisionImplement cost control measures to improve efficiency and profitability while maintaining quality standardsOperating cost, capital expenditure and working capitalOversee inventory tracking and management systems to ensure accurate inventory levels and valuation within the Timber divisionMaintain an effective fixed asset register process together with Group Finance to ensure the safeguarding of all company assetsImplement inventory control procedures to minimise stockouts and inventory carrying costsEnsure correct costing of inventoryImprove cash flow management by better utilisation of working capitalManage debtor aging together with financing departmentEnsure efficient capital expenditureFinancial Analysis and ReportingPrepare monthly financial statements, reports and analysis to provide insights into the various businesses' financial performance and trendsImprove the integrity and quality of the reports on a continuous basisCompliance and Risk ManagementIdentify and mitigate financial risks associated with the various businesses through effective risk management practicesMaintain an effective risk and internal control environment to ensure unqualified reports with minimal reporting itemsReview balance sheet reconciliations and income statements to identify and pro-actively manage financial risks and trendsMaintain an effective and aligned general ledger structure together with Group Finance in the division and various subsidiariesMaintain relevant processes, policies and proceduresEnsure contract management within the division is in line with Group guidelinesAdequate insurance of all divisional assets together with Group InsuranceStakeholder EngagementCollaborate with internal departments to streamline financial processes and optimise value chain integration
Qualifications And Skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance or AccountingAdvanced degree or professional certification (e.g. CA(SA), CIMA, SAIPA)Master's degree (advantageous)7 – 10 years of proven experience in financial management, preferably in the Agri industry3 – 5 years experience in a leadership rolePrevious experience in financial reporting, operating cost, working capital and capital expenditure managementAdvanced financial management, tax and related legislation knowledgeStrong verbal and written communication skillsBilingual (Afrikaans and English)The company can expire jobs at any time at their own discretion.
