Accountant - George - Western CapeAn accounting company, based in George, is looking for an Accountant.Candidates locally based in George will be considered.Requirements:Minimum 5 years experience as an accountantSAIPA accredited (advantageous)Computer literate on Pastel; Acc Fin; Draftworx and MS OfficeIn-office positionResponsibilities:Financial Reporting: Preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.Bookkeeping: Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances, and providing recommendations.Tax Compliance: Ensuring compliance with tax regulations, preparing and filing tax returns, and managing tax-related queries and audits.Audit Preparation: Coordinating with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation, and addressing any audit findings or recommendations.Financial Analysis: Conducting financial analysis to support decision-making, identifying trends, and providing insights into financial performance.Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.Client and Stakeholder Communication: Interacting with clients, stakeholders, and other departments to address financial issues and provide financial guidance.Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for improving financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Financial Systems Management: Utilizing accounting software and financial systems to manage financial data and streamline processes.Please note: Only candidates with the relevant requirements will be considered and contacted.
