A renowned construction company in Cape Town is seeking a skilled Finance Manager to join their team of professionals. This position is responsible for the financial management of the business and is accountable for the overall financial business processes, procedures, and systems that include the day-to-day administration of all transactional data, the monthly provision of management reports, and the preparation of information to meet the requirements of shareholders, clients, suppliers, SARS, B-BBEE, and other legislative institutions where the presentation of financial information is required.ResponsibilitiesThe process and management of the day-to-day financial operations, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.Overseeing financial department employees.Contracting outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, etc.Tracking the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.Provide information and expectations to the business to aid decision-making and strategy development.Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients.Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.Requirements5+ Years' Accounting/Financial Management experience in a similar environment, of which at least 2-3 years in a Team Leadership/Management Role.In-depth knowledge of Financial Management and taxation guidelines.Ability to build relationships while asking tough questions.Excellent written and oral communication ability in English and Afrikaans.Strong time management and organizational skills.Demonstrated ability with Power BI, Smartform/Sharepoint.Proven ability with BuildSmart.Advanced computer literacy - Microsoft Outlook (PowerPoint/Excel/Word/Email).Prior experience in a Financial Manager Role in Construction or similar.Experience working with a diverse range of people and positions.B Degree NQF 8 specializing in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.Formal Course in Pastel/Payroll or similar.Formal Training in BuildSmart.BenefitsCompetitive Salary.Contact RPO Recruitment for your next career opportunity.Apply for this role today, contact Keegan Wolhuter with your CV at ****** will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
