Job Overview Our client, based in Klapmuts, is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Finance, HR, and Compliance Clerk to join their agricultural business.
This role involves a blend of financial management, human resources, and compliance tasks. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial records, assist in HR operations, and support compliance activities to maintain the smooth functioning of their business operations.
Key Responsibilities Finance Responsibilities Compile and record journals for specific entities within the group.Correspond with the CFO to discuss company plans, future paths, and ensure team buy-in.Ensure accurate capturing and approval of debtors/creditors, including invoice approvals.Ensure accurate capturing and approval of sales invoices to customers and from farms.Ensure all reviews and financial activities are captured accurately and timely.Ensure payments are allocated correctly and timely.Ensure payments in the bank are loaded correctly and on time.Prepare and manage cash flows.Handle monthly statement reconciliations, intercompany confirmations, and loan confirmations.Review VAT entries before submission to the Financial Manager.Assist in thorough budget planning for the financial year with the Financial Manager.Report timely to the Financial Manager on financial matters.Ensure accurate capturing on all financial information platforms, including XeroMust have excellent Microsoft Excel proficiency.General Responsibilities Assist in general office administration.Assist managers with office admin related to operations.Liaise with suppliers regarding orders.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.HR Responsibilities Assist in wage management ensuring all components are accurate, balanced, and sorted for all entities.Timely and accurate data capturing of Payspace information, payroll, wages, overtime, PICSA for permanent and seasonal employees.Accurate preparation and review of fortnightly wages for various entities (excellent Microsoft Excel).Assist with facilitating EE, H&S, Skills, and Workers' Com meetings when required.Ensure accurate capturing on all platforms (Payspace, People Flow, Data Gear) for new recruits.Compliance Responsibilities Assist in capturing and administration of documentation for auditsEnsure Global Gap registrations and SIZA SAQ are completed annually.Keep resource monitoring sheets up to date and appropriately available.Ensure employee training is up to date and schedule necessary training; assist with WSP ATR information capturing before deadlines.Ensure all documentation for audits is captured, loaded on relevant platforms, and filed on time.Organizational Culture Foster a culture where staff relationships are strong, staff are self-motivated, and pursue excellence and responsibility.Contribute to the wider business culture by encouraging a team environment, sharing knowledge, and facilitating growth.Qualifications Bachelor's degree or similar qualification in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Proven experience in finance, HR, and compliance roles, preferably within the agricultural sector.Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.Proficiency in payroll and HR software (e.g., Payspace, People Flow, Data Gear).Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.The position is full time, permanent and based in office in Klapmuts. Location: Klapmuts.
Salary: R23 000-R25 000 CTC depending on experience
Starting date: As soon as possible.
