MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Matric.Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantageous.Min of 3 -5 years previous livestock husbandry & cropping experienceComputer literateAttention to detail, reliable & honestAbility to adapt and work in potentially challenging conditions and situationsHorse-riding an advantageMust have sober habits and be willing to work long hours & weekends when on shift/ when needed.Must speak Zulu & be good team worker, self-driven & motivated. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Responsible for herd & flock health: Ability to diagnose and effectively treat potential issues & run dosing & drug programmeUnderstanding of feedlots, shearing, reproductive programs & animal nutritional requirementsProduce bales, silage & mix feed, and monitor usageMonitor herd fertility, including vet runs for fertility testing & AI of stud sheepBasic knowledge of fencing and machinery repairs an advantageExperience in fire burning & veld managementBeing mechanically & maintenance orientatedAbility to cull vermin an advantage.Ability to drive JD sprayers, planters, tractors & combine harvesters an advantage.Flexible approach to work, happy to fill in where the team needs him.Must be professional, energetic and diligent with a good work ethic essential ONLY short-listed candidates will be contacted
