Factory Manager

Sondor Performance foams requires the full-time services of a Factory Manager to manage its converting unit in Edenvale, Johannesburg. The incumbent will be responsible to optimise the utilisation of manpower, machine, materials and utilities and achieve the business and customer quality, speed, cost, delivery and flexibility expectations and objectives. We require a minimum of 5 yrs experience in the planning, leading, organising & controlling a job-shop, automotive production or converting operation. The incumbent shall have proven skills in Problem solving, FMEA, process and systems approach. Lean manufacturing principles and inventory management using SYSPRO ERP is essential. The incumbent is expected to determine production costs and yields that input to quotations and bill of materials (BOMs). Understanding IS09001 and IATF16949 QMS with working knowledge of OHSA. Industrial relations. CNC, CAD and CAM. Grade 12 National Diploma in Operations Management, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field. Min 5 yrs planning, leading, organising & controlling a job-shop or automotive production or converting operation. Problem solving, FMEA, Process and systems approach. Lean manufacturing principles. Inventory management. SYSPRO ERP. Costing and yield calculations. QMS minimum IS0 9001 preferably IATF16949. OHSA. Industrial relations. CNC, CAD and CAM.
