Job PurposeThe purpose of the Facilities Senior Supervisor is to coordinate and manage the site facilities and equipment maintenance schedules. Proactive and reactive maintenance scheduling and interventions to minimize downtime is essential for the success of this role.Job Objectives and FunctionsCompile Planned Maintenance DatabaseEstablish and maintain database of all fixed installations.Schedule and issue planned Maintenance InstructionsSchedule preventative maintenance. Issue planned maintenance instructions. Coordinate and manage building and equipment maintenance schedules. Test building security systems and prepare for emergencies by creating action plans. Communicate daily with supply vendors and update supplier database regularly. Responsible for responding to urgent and or adhoc maintenance calls, queries and or requests.Monthly ComplianceCompile monthly reports on schedule compliance/failures.Third Party ManagementResponsible for managing the external/third party facilities suppliers to ensure that service is provided aligned to the service level agreement (SLA) with Barron.Health and SafetyResponsible for ensuring that health and safety policies are adhered to.HousekeepingApply basic housekeeping principles to ensure the workstation is tidy.Qualifications and Experience:NQF 4 Matric or EquivalentNQF 6 Facilities Management Essential10-15 years in Facilities Senior Supervisor roleSkills, Abilities and Job-Related Knowledge:Interpreting maintenance schedulesPlanning emergency and urgent unplanned maintenance requestsProduct Knowledge Advanced Essential Office equipmentUnderstanding of safety regulationsHealth & Safety PrinciplesNumeracyProject ManagementVerification skillsCommunication skillsEnglish ComprehensionMultitaskingCompetencies:Initiative and ResponsibilityExecutionEffective CommunicationSteadinessSystematic ApproachReports to:Operations Manager
