Job Description In this role, you will plan, execute and integrate a range of communications activities including content development, publishing, measurement and other operations in coordination with other teams and stakeholders both internal and external. You will also plan and execute Public and Government Affairs activities to advocate for Mondelez International's interests and coordinate a range of related transactions or communications with the public and government officials.

How you will contribute You will design and deliver outstanding media relations, government affairs, and internal communications and community engagement campaigns across markets. This role will require you to think globally and collaborate with colleagues from around the world to share best practices. You will also promote the latest innovations and investments in the market to keep our people engaged in the transformation and to partner with government officials so we can make changes to our operating model and ways of working. In addition to these contributions, you will manage all aspects of communications channels; nurture relationships with Tier 1 corporate media; drive news coverage that promotes Mondelez International; support local leadership and their teams, stakeholders and other functions internal communications activities, and ensure that activities are delivered within budget.

Communications, including experience in government affairs and issues management, preferably in a large, matrix multinational Written and spoken communication skills Results orientation and a hands-on mentality Working under pressure in a collaborative setting Dealing with ambiguity and change agility Time management priority setting and attention to detail Key Responsibilities: Develop strategic communications agenda for the business Develop and implement a highly engaging Internal Communications plan for South Africa Support the delivery of events, both digital and face to face, including employee brand moments, townhall sessions, masterclasses etc. Work closely with internal stakeholders to effectively communicate business objectives. Manage external PR agency to develop and roll out an effective external communication strategy. Drive world-class brand and trade PR campaigns with an increasing focus on Snacking Leadership and marketing with Purpose Establish and nurture strong relationships with Tier 1 media Leverage MDLZ's iconic brands and senior executives to drive reputation-building coverage against growth agenda and leadership in snacking Engage with industry and government bodies to lobby on regulations impacting the business Identify and address short-term barriers to business by monitoring the external environment and interpreting what it means for our business. Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate creatively Support and facilitate local rollout of Global initiatives Develop content for sharing via local, regional and global internal communication channels including Viva Engage and intranet news pages. Develop and manage measurement of listening tools for internal and external communications Coordinate contributions to local, regional and global reports. Work closely with South Africa leadership team to identify and develop content to spotlight and celebrate successes. Interact with NGOs to coordinate CSR projects Communicate and build pride internally through our CSR programs Support the business with execution of BBBEE strategy Qualifications and Experience: Communication/Public Relations/Marketing qualification Degree/Diploma 8 to 10 years' experience Strategic internal and external communication planning and execution Awareness and experience in key regulatory challenges impacting the business No Relocation support available
