Job Title: Environmental Manager Location: Limpopo, Waterberg District, Lephalale Job Type: 6 month Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours Job Description The Environmental Manager will be responsible for overseeing environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives within the Environmental and Waste industry.
The role is based in Limpopo, specifically in the Waterberg District, Lephalale area.
Job Duties: Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations Conduct environmental assessments and audits Manage waste management programmes Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders Provide environmental training to staff Implement sustainability initiatives Required Qualifications: Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or related field Registration with a recognized Environmental Professional Body in South Africa, such as the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP), or an equivalent international body.
Proven experience in environmental management Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance Strong project management skills Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills: A minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental management on large-scale engineering or construction projects.
Experience specifically in handling environmental compliance and sustainability issues on projects with complex environmental impacts (e.g., power plants, industrial retrofits).
Demonstrated knowledge of waste management practises Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
