Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Engine Rebuilder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of engine mechanics, a commitment to precision, and the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision. The Engine Rebuilder will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling engines to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This role requires hands-on experience with a variety of engine types, diagnostic tools, and rebuilding techniques.
Key Responsibilities:

Disassemble, inspect, and clean engine components, identifying worn or damaged parts.
Use diagnostic tools to assess engine performance issues and develop solutions.
Repair or replace engine parts, including pistons, cylinders, camshafts, bearings, and gaskets.
Reassemble engines to manufacturer specifications, ensuring all components meet safety and quality standards.
Conduct testing and troubleshooting to confirm engine functionality and reliability.
Maintain detailed records of parts, repairs, and work performed.
Follow safety protocols and keep work areas organized and free of hazards.
Stay updated on industry standards and advancements in engine rebuilding technology and practices.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED; technical certification or degree in automotive or diesel technology preferred.
Proven experience as an Engine Rebuilder or similar role.
Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, fuel systems, and automotive electronics.
Skilled in using diagnostic equipment and rebuilding tools.
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
Physical stamina and dexterity for heavy lifting and working in tight spaces.
Good communication skills and the ability to document work accurately.

Work Environment:

Primarily in a shop or workshop setting, with exposure to mechanical equipment and noise.
May require lifting heavy parts and standing for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R15000,00 - R20000,00 per month
