Electrical Supervisor

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management:Plan, schedule, and supervise installation and maintenance activities on rail fleet overhaul projects.Ensure all tasks are completed within the allocated timeframes and budgets while maintaining quality standards.Team Leadership:Provide direction, guidance, and mentorship to the technical team.Oversee day-to-day activities of electricians, technicians, and contractors to ensure productivity and compliance with project goals.Technical Oversight:Conduct inspections and assessments of electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Resolve technical issues promptly, minimizing downtime and maintaining project efficiency.Health, Safety, and Compliance:Enforce adherence to safety regulations and protocols on-site.Ensure compliance with relevant local and international standards for electrical installations and rail systems.Reporting and Documentation:Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, progress reports, and incident logs.Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project status and challenges. RequirementsQualifications:Trade Tested Electrical Certificate (essential).Additional certifications in project management or rail industry-specific training (advantageous).Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in the rail industry, with a focus on electrical installations and maintenance.Proven track record in managing teams and overseeing projects in a supervisory or foreman role.Skills:Strong technical knowledge of rail fleet electrical systems and equipment.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.Problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.Other Requirements:Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to project demands.Valid drivers license and ability to travel within the Midrand area as needed.
