Job Description:As an Early Talent Officer you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:Consistently apply Safety and Health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.Execute administrative and coordinating tasks in the end-to-end Early Talent development programme relating to:Recruitment of Graduates and Interns, including marketing activities, e.g., university and school fairs.Onboarding and offboarding of Graduates and Interns, including medicals.Housing arrangements for Graduates.Elements of the formal development programme, including coordinating external training.
o Rotations and movements across Departments, Operations, and Businesses.Travel logistics, flight benefits and requests.Vacation work for Bursars.Early Talent events including Symposiums, Leadership Camps and Award functions.Maintain SAP system data, as appropriate, for Graduates, Interns and Bursars.Provide administrative assistance to the Specialist Emerging Talent regarding succession planning and talent pipeline organisational needs.Schedule and prepare packs for operations talent reviews with guidance from the manager:Prepare and liaise with all departmental managers and relevant departments to prepare for, implement and track the progress of talent reviews.Coordinate development programmes with providers.Coordinate Coaching and Mentorship together with the Talent & Development Advisor.Monitor and report on the status of career profiles for the operation and follow through with outstanding employees.Provide superior administrative support for emerging talent (including PITs) related to movements from one operation to another, medicals, and all other related logisticsThis role is in the People & Organisation (P&O) discipline at a band 7 level reporting to the Specialist Early Talent.
Qualifications:Grade 12Higher National qualification (Certificate) in Human Resources Management (HRM) on NQF5National Diploma in Human Resources Management (NQF6) - preferredSA Drivers LicenceExperience 3-5 years of relevant experience in P&O, with advantageous exposure to Talent Management or HRD, its policies, procedures, guidelines, codes of conduct, and compliance regulations.Understand organisational structures, culture, values, mission, and goals.Familiarity with the mining industry, including its trends, competitors, and regulatory environment.
