Herotel is inviting applications for the District Manager position focused on growth and development in Tier 2 areas on a national level. This position will be reporting to our Operations Executive.About the role:The District Manager is responsible for leading and managing Market Development to identify growth areas within the district and upholding the Herotel Brand. The District Manager is responsible for Local Customer Care as well as the Local Office Management within the region and implementing functional tactical goals aligned to Herotel's strategic objectives.Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Leadership and management of the following functions:Market Development – DM co-owns the take-up metric of each POP in the district and actively engages in customer education activities and in identifying specific local opportunities for marketing & sales in areas that underperform based on the commercial undertakings.Upholding the Herotel Brand – custodian of the Herotel Image/Brand in the district:Ensure that all sales and marketing activity upholds the Herotel Brand.Identify areas in the community where the Herotel Brand can be enhanced.Identify Growth Areas – proactively identify areas for growth in the district, wireless and fibre, and present this info to the Level-3 team for evaluation.Local Customer Care – review daily info on customer impacting events in the district and plan local customer care initiatives around this, as well as providing local support to customers as needed.Local Office Management – partnership agreements will be needed with each other function that have staff operating from a local office in the District to provide clarity to DMs as to their oversight responsibility.Functional strategic/tactical planningDevelop a clear functional tactical plan for the Division, ensuring alignment with other divisions, regions, and functions; aligned to the strategic objectives.Participate in the Regional Team business plan development, ensuring clear cross-functional tactical goals are distilled from strategic objectives.Analyze customer data to identify trends and opportunity for improvement in customer experience and customer satisfaction.Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline customer service operations and increase efficiency.Produce functional reporting.Divisional ManagementDevelop operational plans in conjunction with Team Leaders, in accordance with the business plan.Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet customer service demands and ensure optimal performance.Ensure that Team Leaders lead operational teams into action to execute plans by establishing daily, weekly, and monthly routines as well as running projects and ad-hoc activities.Establish controls in the process to ensure speed, cost, quality and risk metrics are achieved.Facilitate effective and ongoing cross-functional alignment with other functions through the formal management discipline of Herotel's Management Operating System as well as the implementation and management of partnership agreements.Develop and maintain positive relationships.LeadershipLead and coach Level-2 Team Members to help them improve and to remain aligned to the tactical goals and culture of the business.Align the function with other divisions, functions and regions.Key Outputs of the role:Develop a "relevant and living" Tactical plan for the Division and ensure that it aligns with and is clearly communicated to all other Divisions, Regions, and support functions.Ensure that all resources needed for the Division to operate are available when needed.Manage, guide and coach the Functional Managers so they can effectively manage their teams.Accurate prioritization and disciplined time management.Ensure the Division collects and analyses the correct data to make informed decisions.Create and lead meetings (Operational, Functional, Personal, and MOS) in line with national rhythms.Ensure the business principles and culture are practiced throughout the Division.Formal Functional reporting to the rest of the Level-3 team.Work Experience and Competency Requirements:Experience: 3 Years in a Managerial Role.5 Years in a social change and development environment.Skills:Proven competency in strategic and tactical thinking, including the ability to analyze complex situations, identify and prioritize goals, develop effective plans to achieve them.Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) and implement plans.Highly skilled in applying social system change and development best practices.Results orientation and drive.Analytical thinking and problem solving.Decision making and sound judgment.Resilient, adaptable, and self-aware.Leadership and People Management (plan, organize, lead and control).Education Requirements:Grade 12Bachelors Degree in Business Administration is preferred.If you meet the above requirement criteria and you would like to join our team, please submit your CV with contactable references.
