RPO Recruitment's client in the packaging industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Distribution Team Leader to join their team in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal.ResponsibilitiesAchieving & maintaining delivery efficienciesMaintain outstanding customer service and customer service relationshipsEnsuring high quality delivery standardsEnsuring that all vehicles are roadworthyMaintain an excellent standard of housekeepingSupervising & scheduling of staff and monitoring of time keepingTraining & development of staffManaging staff performance, driver evaluation and debriefingPlanning of daily routes and ensuring that no vehicles deviate from designated routesEnsuring a 98% service efficiency rate and reporting on exceptionsComplies with requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety ActComplies with all Rules and Regulations of the National Road Traffic ActEnsure that all returned stock is documented dailyRequirementsMatric minimum, Logistics Diploma or Supply Chain Degree advantageousExperience in Distribution & Transport and FMCG is essentialComputer packages experience at an intermediate level (Word, Excel)Strong ability to organize and manage own time and processesAn ability to build relationships quickly and effectivelyA proven track record of managing logisticsMust be able to work Saturdays when weekend deliveries are requiredDriver's license (Code 08)SAP experience advantageous2 – 3 years Supervisory or Management experienceBenefitsSalary: R250K/yr - R350K/yr, salary negotiableFamily Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Training & DevelopmentPaid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable)Contact RPO Recruitment for your next career opportunity.We will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
